BIOGRAPHY

Helltern is a metal band from Curitiba, Brazil, formed on 11/2019. The name Helltern is a German term meaning “Enlightened”.

The beginning of Helltern was in the beginning of 2017 when I (Maurício Heibel) started studying guitar with Aly Fioren and in the end of 2019 I started to create some riffs that we developed and became the songs of our first album.

Some of the ideas on the album were taken from lyrics that were written in 1995, when Maurício Heibel started writing lyrics.

After all instrumental part was ready, we didn't have a vocalist and by necessity I, Maurício Heibel, decided to try to record the vocals of the songs. The result was great and so I became the vocalist.

The compositions of our first album “A World Without Mercy” were written by Maurício Heibel and produced by Aly Fioren (Sad Theory, Carttada, Shadow Maze) and were recorded at Funds House Estudío in 2020.

The project's recording and development sessions were held last year and produced by Aly Fioren.

The design of the HELLTERN logo and album cover was done by Carlos Kolb.

The album is available on all digital platforms, and has names like: Judas Priest, Accept, Dio, Iron Maiden as great influences.

Our music style is heavy metal with simple riffs, themed solos and lyrics with strong choruses.

Helltern also features Jeff Verdani (Sad Theory, Axecuter) and Andrey Fillies (Everwounded) as guest musicians.
